Preview allowances, refreshed monthly on both monthly and annual subscriptions: Pro includes $3 assistant usage, 120 online voice minutes and $5 October CLI credits. Max includes $8 assistant usage, 300 online voice minutes, $10 October CLI credits and $6 of included cloud infrastructure. Pro and Founding include $2; Ultra includes $20 each UTC calendar month.
Assistant usage is separate from CLI credits and measured in dollars used and remaining, with a reset date, rather than a fixed message count. Typed and spoken requests share this allowance. Run participants using your subscriptions consume those provider accounts.
Tell October what you need finished. It sets up the agents and workflow, coordinates the work, and brings back the result. Adjust the plan whenever you need. Type or speak a goal in Project Chat, review October’s proposal, then start. The same card follows the work through handoffs, review rounds and the final result with its evidence.
Pro and Max include Runs. Review returns an independently reviewed audit with findings and evidence. Plan and build returns an implementation checked against its reviewed plan. Review existing work snapshots an agent’s changes, including uncommitted edits and selected new files, and sends corrections back to the existing session. The card distinguishes the reviewed snapshot from newer edits; another review can follow your request or the agent reporting completion.
October selects agents using defaults, availability and accounts. Claude and Codex are examples, not a required pairing. The summary names agents, models and effort. Optional Details contains People, Steps, Rules and Target. You can change assignments, models, effort and accounts, edit steps or ask Project Chat for another sequence.
Rules from your request, saved Settings and repository instructions are captured at Start. Saving request rules for future work requires your review and confirmation. Runs support pause, stop and resume, added reviewers, removed future steps and changed goals.
A finished audit does not mean the PR is safe or merged. Results are marked verified only when the applicable checks pass; skipped verification is explicitly reported. Publishing requires your action or instruction and matching evidence. An audit request alone does not authorize publishing.
On-device dictation is free on supported Macs. Universal voice control and October’s assistant require Pro or Max. Typed and spoken assistant requests share an allowance; online speech recognition uses separate voice minutes. October CLI credits cover October-funded model calls through the CLI, not external agent subscriptions.
Online voice permits 1 active recognition session per account, up to 10 minutes per session. Only online recognition uses the voice allowance; on-device dictation on supported Macs stays free.
Phone access to your own computer requires that computer to stay connected and running. All paid plans, including Founding, include October-managed cloud infrastructure. Development workspaces and previews are included; permanent production hosting is not. Plans are per person. Workspace members need their own eligible access.
Runtime and retained storage use the cloud allowance. Each Linux machine has 2 CPU, 4 GiB RAM and 10 GiB disk, with 1 machine running at once. Each start is limited to 60 minutes. Idle compute stops after 15 minutes.
Stopped files are archived after 7 days and deleted after 10 days unless resumed. Resuming or accessing a shell requires an active paid plan and enough allowance. Use your own vendor login for model calls. Included cloud usage does not roll over, outstanding reservations carry forward, and additional usage is blocked without overage charges.
Annual charges are paid upfront; included usage refreshes monthly. Included assistant, voice, CLI and compute allowances do not roll over or convert into one another. There are no automatic overage charges. Only the exhausted service pauses; local files, prior results and direct use of your own subscriptions remain accessible.
Existing purchased rights remain honored under the terms of your Founding purchase. Founding includes $2 of cloud infrastructure each month. It does not create recurring assistant, online voice or October CLI model-credit grants.
